TIERED PRICING STRUCTURE

Camp Ho Mita Koda understands that families have different abilities to pay for a camp experience and that you know your family’s financial situation better than we do. Tiered pricing allows you to choose the rate that best fits your financial situation. The tier you choose remains confidential and in no way influences or affects the experience your camper receives. Tiered pricing allows us to stretch scholarship funding further, bringing more young people the opportunity to have a life-changing week at Camp Ho Mita Koda.

Tier 1 – Subsidized Rate
This is our heavily subsidized rate of summer camp and does not reflect the true cost of operating the summer camp program.

Tier 2 – Direct Cost Rate
This rate represents a portion of the direct costs of camp. This is a partially subsidized rate for those who can pay a little more than the Tier 1 rate.

Tier 3 – True Cost
This rate reflects the true cost of the camp experience to the organization.

We believe that every child should experience the powerful impact that summer camp provides regardless of income. For those families who cannot afford Tier 1, additional scholarship assistance through our Campership Program is available to ensure that all children have the opportunity to attend camp.

Discounts

Early Bird
Families can take advantage of our “Early Bird” discount, per session enrolled. This discount is available to our families from November 1, 2023- December 31, 2023. Use the code’ EB2024′ to receive $50 off per session of Overnight or Specialty Camp. Discounts do not apply to the Adventure Bridge, Day Camp, Teen Weekend, or  Family Camp Programs.
New Diagnosis Credit

Receiving the unexpected news that your child has Type 1 Diabetes is one of the scariest things that a family can go through. Sending your camper to overnight camp for an extended period away from home, for the first time after a recent diagnosis, can be equally as scary. However, a positive camp experience during the first year of diagnosis is essential and provides a framework for support for both the camper and family that will carry through for the rest of their lives. In just one year, a child with Type 1 Diabetes will check their blood sugar approximately 2,920 times, give 2,555 insulin injections, and lose 209 hours of sleep. There are many reasons a child with T1D experiences anxiety and burnout; from constant self-care, to making a million decisions on a daily basis, to feeling the loneliness of being part of the 0.2% of youth living with T1D.

Camp Ho Mita Koda is proud to sponsor first-time campers who have had a T1D diagnosis within 12 months of the start of the camp with a 50% credit toward the camp fee. Those diagnosed within 6 months of the start of camp get a FREE WEEK OF CAMPless the $100 non-refundable deposit. To take advantage of the credit, camp does require verification of the official diagnosis date, generally found on the initial discharge paperwork. The credit will be provided in the form of a code to sign up with or used to offset a balance on the account. No refund will be provided if payment has already been made, however the credit will remain on the account to use toward a future CHMK program.

CHMK is providing the opportunity to attend camp, regardless of finances, as we believe in the power of camp and have seen the incredible benefits that a one-week experience has on the mental health of a newly diagnosed camper. Spread the word to your communities, friends, support groups, and more. We are here for you, no questions asked. To learn more about first-time diagnosis assistance and to take advantage of the credit, please contact our camp office at 440-739-4095.

Sibling
Families sending more than one child to camp in the same season receive $50 off the second enrolled camper! We encourage siblings to attend camp together to strengthen their bonds and provide support while away from home. Speak with the camp office for options available to limit or allow siblings to reside in the same cabin, groups, etc. Discount not applicable to Family Camp programs.
Referral
Camp is rewarding for your kids (and your wallet) when they come with friends. The more you refer, the more you save! For every new camper family that you refer to Camp Ho Mita Koda, and they sign up for a session of camp, you receive $50 off of your camper’s tuition and they do too! The great thing is that there is no limit for this discount! You must call into our office at 440-739-4095 to take advantage of this discount.
Multi-Week
Campers who attend more than one session in a season are eligible for our multi-week discount of $50 per each additional session enrolled. All sessions at Camp Ho Mita Koda are one-week in length, with the camper having the ability to extend their experience by attending two back-to-back weeks or attending two sessions on different dates throughout the summer season. Discount valid only for summer camp offerings.
Doctor Prescription
Ask your Endocrinologist to write you a prescription for “Camp” as part of your overall treatment strategy. A signed script from the Doctor comes with a $50 coupon code to be applied toward registration for a session of overnight camp! The prescription may not be used to obtain a refund for a camp already enrolled in. Drug: Camp Ho Mita Koda Dose: 1 week of adventure at summer camp Refill: Unlimited
