Camp Food

Camp Ho Mita Koda takes pride in our excellent food. Our Dining Service team brings professional experience as cooks and educators to our program. In collaboration with our medical team, menus are created that meet camper’s tastes while still providing wholesome, healthy nourishment.

A vegetarian and gluten-free option is available at every meal, along with a fully stocked salad bar at every lunch and dinner. For the picky eaters, we offer plenty of choices to find something to eat, including fresh fruit and vegetables, a cereal bar and yogurt at every breakfast, and made-to-order gourmet grilled cheese and peanut butter and jelly table sandwiches.

Additionally, we have a stocked refrigerator in our Main Lodge with fresh fruit and healthy carb free snacks (strong cheese, beef sticks, carrots, etc) that are available for campers whenever they like.

Food allergies are extremely common and our menus are designed with the most common dietary needs and restrictions in mind.  If your child has a food allergy or you have questions regarding any special dietary needs, please inform our camp office prior to your camper attending.

Camp Ho Mita Koda provides its very own registered dietician on staff that ensures balanced meals, accurate and reliable carb counts, and keeping food options  kid-friendly.

Meals are selected to provide nutritious, delicious options that appeal to a nearly any taste. We serve our meals Family Style and our counselors serve campers individually at their tables.
